Student Art Contest seeks to highlight: “Many Faces of Italian Culture in New Jersey”

The New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission (NJIHC) is pleased to announce its statewide High School
Student Art Contest. The contest will showcase New Jersey high school student artists using the theme, “The Many Faces of Italian Culture in New Jersey.” The contest is a creative vehicle for students to explore the history, achievements and contributions of Italian cultural heritage in all subject areas.

All student entries will be exhibited in the New Jersey State House Annex in Trenton from November 7-
11, 2016. Additionally, the winning students and their teachers will be recognized, and the artwork
exhibited at the 2016 NJIHC Congress on November 12, 2016, at Rutgers University, Zimmerli Art
Museum, New Brunswick, New Jersey.

All four winners will receive gift cards, and the first place winner will also receive a new laptop computer for the classroom. Entries must be submitted by mail between October 17-21, 2016, to the New Jersey State Department of Education, Attention: NJ Italian Heritage Commission Art Contest, 100 River View Plaza, P.O. Box 500, Trenton, NJ 08625-0500. Entries postmarked after October 21, 2016, will not be considered.
