New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission Announces Fall 2026 Internship Opportunity
New Brunswick, NJ — The New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission (NJIHC) is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Internship Program, offering college students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public education, media, marketing, and community engagement.
This hybrid internship is designed for motivated students interested in cultural preservation, strategic communications, and educational outreach. Interns will work closely with the Executive Director, participating in regular meetings, events, and receiving mentorship while contributing to meaningful initiatives that support the Commission’s mission to promote and preserve Italian and Italian American heritage.
Interns will play an active role in developing and executing outreach and promotional campaigns, assisting with event coordination, conducting research, and supporting educational programming that reaches communities across New Jersey. This role provides valuable exposure to nonprofit operations, public programming, and mission-driven communications.
The internship requires approximately 6 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to receive college credit (to be coordinated with the student’s academic institution and NJIHC Executive Director.)
Students seeking a dynamic, purpose-driven experience that blends education, media, and cultural advocacy are encouraged to apply.
