The Doug Murdock Meistersingers will celebrate Columbus Day with a concert featuring Italian music and culture through the ages. The chorus is comprised of 25 to 35 singers throughout Atlantic and Cape May Counties and performs a wide range of challenging music including choral jazz, musical theatre, madrigals, opera and oratorio.

Following is a sampling of the Columbus Day program: Opera: “Nabucco,” “La Boheme,” “Ballo in Maschera”; various selections from the Italian Renaissance; Neopolitan Songs including “O Sole Mio,” “Torna Surriento,” “Santa Lucia,” “Non ti scordar de me,” “Ciribiri Bin,” “Oh Marie.” Also: “Volare,” “Arrivederci Roma,” “Cara mia,” “Time to Say Goodbye” and “The Prayer” made known by Andrea Bocelli.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. The church is handicapped accessible.
